Wire Needed For Replacing Trailer Brake Wiring On a 34' Tandem Axle Trailer
Question:
I have a 34 foot trailer with 2 7k lbs axles, I’m re wiring my electric brakes. Do I need to use 10ga wire or can I use the 12ga?

You will want to use a 10 Gauge Wire # 10-1-1 to replace the wiring on your 34' trailer with the tandem axle electric brakes. We have this wire sold per foot and I recommend using Heat Shrink Butt Connectors # DW05745-10 to make your wiring connections. This will help prevent any issues with corrosion in the connector.
