Troubleshooting Voyager Controller With Hardly Any Power
Question:
The green light comes on when I plug in a trailer or a tester. The light will turn weak red no matter how much I try to adjust it or level it. It will just not through enough power to engage the brakes and the red light is not dark red like it should be. The truck sat for about 2 months this winter and worked fine when it was parked, have had this problem since I started using it again this spring.

There are a few things you could check on why your controller is not getting the proper amount of power to it. I would first check all the connections on the Voyagers wiring. The ground wiring connection is a common problem, and some times become loose. Make sure the ground wire is on a bare-metal surface.
Next I would check if you have any type of short in the wiring, I recommend checking the stop light switch first. You can also check if the controller is level and run through the steps to level the sensor, which I will attach below.
If you're still having issues then the controller could be faulty and I would recommend upgrading to The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional # 90195. This system can be mounted anywhere and can run up to 4 axles and has 3 boost levels that you can adjust the initial braking power and aggressiveness.
I attached a review video link below.
