Do Curt Universal Fifth Wheel Base Rails Fit 1986 Ford F-150
Question:
Will the C16200 unverisal rail kit fit an 1986 ford f150?
asked by: Scott L
Helpful Expert Reply:
Yes they sure do; your 1986 Ford F-150 is compatible with the universal rails from Curt, which are the following part number:
- Curt Universal Fifth Wheel Base Rails with Installation Kit # C16200
These rails will give your '86 F-150 standard 5th wheel base rails so you can use a 5th wheel hitch; if you have a short bed you will need a sliding hitch such as the sliding Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R16 Roller # 16516, or for a long bed a fixed hitch like the Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16115.
The only other thing you may need is a 5th wheel wiring harness, the 7-Way Pre-Wired Car Connector # 20023.
