Question:
Does this vehicle have a non-hardwired wiring harness? If not where do I hardwire one in? thanks

Your 2007 Toyota Avalon will need to be hardwired for a 4-pole trailer connection. I would recommend the Upgraded Circuit Protected Taillight Converter Hardwire Kit, item # 119178KIT, for ease of installation and protection of your vehicles sensitive electronics.
You will need to match the color-code wires from the tail light converter too the appropriate vehicle wires. Use a circuit tester, included with the kit, to find the correct wires behind the vehicle taillights and splice the wires from the vehicle side of the converter to them.
You may also want a mounting bracket like the # 18144 to keep the connector stored nicely and ready for use. I have listed some options below.
