Trailer Brake Controller Recommendation For A 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500
Question:
I have a 2019 2500hd high country and the integrated brake control does not apply brakes on rv hard enough even on highest gain. I have checked trailer brakes and adjusted them but I can apply trailer brakes and they will not hold as I pull very easy. What can I do? Can integrated controller be disabled and install a prodigy controller?

When it comes to switching out your integrated controller to another controller it can be done and I recommend The Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional # 39510. This brake controller can be mounted within a 90-degree vertical range which gives you more mounting options then other controllers. It automatically adjusts the trailer's braking based on deceleration of tow vehicle.
You also need The Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers # 3064-P. This custom connector end plugs into the built-in port beneath the dash of your vehicle.
I attached an installation video link below.
