i have a columbus 388fk. the uvw is 13744. gvwr is 16743. can i safey use the 16k? the 16k is all i can find in stock where i live and want to make sure its ok to use. thanks

The Palomino Columbus 388FK has a GVWR of 16,709 lbs so I must recommend the 20K Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter part # RP85FR assuming the trailer has a Lippert 1621 pin box pattern. I do not recommend the 16K Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter even if you don't think you'll be loading the trailer to capacity as it simply isn't rated high enough for this trailer.
If you don't know what pin box pattern you have you'll need to reach out to the chassis manufacturer with the chassis serial number.
