Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2015 Acura TLX For Bike Rack to Carry Ebikes
Question:
Id like to be able to transport two Ebikes on my 2015 Acura TLX 6 Cylinder sedan. I have RadRover Ebikes. RadRover Sells Bike Rack that can transport two RadRover Bikes. However, the carrier requires a 2 Hitch. Do you offer a 2 Hitch for my vehicle? If not, any other recommendations?

There are two hitches for your 2015 Acura TLX, though they are Class I hitches with a 1-1/4" receiver; there are no 2" hitches made for this vehicle. So you can add one of these hitches, but would need a Class I compatible bike rack, and there is a single option available for that which has the needed capacity for heavy ebikes. First, here are the two hitches that fit your '15 Acura TLX
- Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24942
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11535
While both will fit your Acura, the better option for a bike rack is the Draw-Tite because it has the better ground clearance; it is also a concealed crosstube so only the receiver will show, whereas the whole Curt hitch hangs down underneath your bumper.
Then for a bike rack, the Class I compatible rack for ebikes, with a weight capacity of 65 lbs per bike is the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # TH903202.
The EasyFold XT # TH903202 will work with bikes that have fenders and a step-through frame, like many RadRover electric bikes do, though depending on your bike's weight you may need to remove the battery to meet the 65 lb capacity.
The rack comes with an aluminum ramp that allows you to load up and remove your heavy bike with minimal effort, and also completely folds up and has wheels and a handle, so getting it from storage to your TLX (and vice-versa) is simple; it also installs easily in your hitch; tightening with just the twist of a knob.
