Troubleshooting Fuse Blowing Repeatedly on RV Steps

started to blow fuse on the box, as soon as i change it blows it was working fine. lci step control 164889

The first thing I would do is to ensure that your wiring is in good operating condition, more specifically the ground wire. Ensure that the ground is properly attached to a clean metal surface and that it hasn't been damaged. If your ground wire is still in good condition, then verify that all other wires are also properly attached and not damaged. If all of your wires are good then you could have a bad motor that is drawing too much power causing the fuse to blow.
The Replacement Motor for Lippert Electric Coach Step # LC301695 replaces the motor that came standard on a single, double, or triple electric Lippert Coach Step sliding step. If that is the step that you have then this would be the correct option. If you have a different step and can tell me the motor number or step model that you have, I would be happy to help you find the correct motor.
