Weight Carrying and Weight Distribution Capacities for Curt Trailer Hitch # C15320
Question:
What is the maximum weight carrying capacity of this hitch receiver WITHOUT the use of a weight distributing hitch? Is the 2400# rating with a WDH? Thanks!

Expert Reply:
For Curt trailer hitch # C15320 the weight carrying capacities are 16,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 2,400 pounds tongue weight. When used with weight distribution the gross trailer weight capacity is 17,000 pounds and the tongue weight remains the same at 2,400 pounds. It is not uncommon for a trailer hitch to have the same tongue weight capacity for weight carrying and weight distribution.
I have included links to the installation instructions and a video showing a typical installation for you.
