Intermittent Error Code of Tekonsha Primus IQ Brake Controller

Question:

My Tekonsha Primus IQ has been working great. With no recent changes to hardware or operating conditions, when I plug my trailer in, I get a flashing error code 0.0./.c., back and forth non-stop, at a rate of change about every second. When the trailer is not plugged in, the controller shows that it is not connected and appears to be working properly. I cannot find this error code in the manual. Any help would be appreciated.

What you are most likely seeing is an intermittent connection issue due to dirt or corrosion on the pins of your trailer wiring. Try taking sandpaper to clean all the pins of the connectors and that should fix the problem.
