5th Wheel Install Bracket/Rail Kit for 2016 Ram 1500 w/ 5.5 Foot Bed

Question:

I’m wanting to get a rail and hardware kit I have the fifth wheel already. My question is will this work with my factory air suspension and is this kit all I would need to get going I have a little 23’ fifth wheel camper I’m gonna be towing I lined up with the king pin over my axle looks like I have plenty of turning room .

The Curt # C16444-204 5th wheel install bracket/rail kit is compatible with the 2016 Ram 1500 with the factory air suspension.

When installed, the rails will place the hitch so that the 5th wheel king pin sits slightly forward of the rear axle center line which isn't enough clearance between the 5th wheel and truck cab in most cases. Typically, for the 5-1/2 foot bed, a replacement rotating pin box like the Reese Sidewinder is needed. I'll link to a help article that explains how the Sidewinder works, and how to measure to see if you'll have enough clearance.

The Sidewinder is pin-box specific, so in order to recommend the correct replacement pin box, I'll need to know which OEM pin box your 5th wheel is equipped with. This information is usually found on a sticker or ID plate affixed to the OEM pin box.
