Battery Disconnect Switch With High Amp Rating For Keystone Montana

Question:

I have a 2019 Montana High Country 380th and this is the kind of switch I have in my wetbay and I need one. BUT I see that its a 50amp and I have found out from another source that there is a switch just like this that is 300amp! I have no idea what my switch is and dont want to get the wrong one. Do you have any idea what I need? Keystone doesnt even know what day it is let alone know what switch they put in their RVS. Thanks for any help.

There is an option similar to the Epicord Battery Disconnect Switch with Key - 50 Amp # 277-000096 that can work for you. You mentioned 300 amps, though there are different amp ratings for switches - continuous amps, intermittent amps, and cranking amps.

While we don't have a way of knowing exactly what is in your Keystone Montana, the highest amperage we have for a battery disconnect switch with a key is from Seaflo, and is rated for 275 continuous amps, 450 intermittent amps, and 1,250 cranking amps:

- Seaflo Battery Disconnect Switch with Key for Boats and RVs # SE73FR

I imagine the 300 amp rating for your Keystone is the max (cranking) amps, as that is usually what they show for ratings, and it would be difficult to believe you would come anywhere close to even the 275 continuous amps this is rated for. I have added a link below to an install of the # SE73FR in a trailer compartment if you want to check that out.
