Will The Advent Air Heat Strip Work When Replacing A Dometic Roof Top Unit With An Advent Air Unit

Question:

Looking at replacing dometic 59516.531 with heat strip to acdom150 to avoid changing thermostat and control box but need to know if heat strip will still work since not replacing control box with this purchase?

The heat strip # ACMHD is going to install directly inside the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Dometic Setup w/ Start Capacitor # ACDOM150 and since this unit uses a wiring adapter to plug right into your Dometic AC system you'll still be able to control the heat strip using your Dometic thermostat.

If your Dometic unit had a heat pump then you'll need to remove the cover on your thermostat and set the three dip switches to Up - Down - Down to switch it from heat pump to heat strip.
