The difference is how the spring bars attach to the hitch head. So your web site same part number but 2 different pictures. I currently have a spring bar that has dimples to attach the spring bar to the hitch head tube. In the newer design they use a safety clip to attach the 2 pieces together I need to order with the right setup to connect the 2 together Currently my setup utilizes the dimple to hold the spring bars in place

We actually have the older and newer style of Blue Ox Weight Distribution heads like you mentioned. The part # BXW4011 is the older style and the part # BLU54XR is the new style.
