Expert Reply:

Both The Thule Force XT Sport and Yakima Rocket Box 14 should avoid your XM antenna on your 2014 Honda CR-V EXL.

The Yakima Rocket Box 14 # Y07192 that you referenced, has an overall length of 74 inches. According to Yakima, you can have this overhang in the front of your vehicle 29-1/2 inches. With this forward placement, you should clear of your XM antenna, however, you will need to measure your roof to verify.

A couple of other measurements you may need is that you can have a minimum crossbar spread of 24 inches a maximum spread of 40 inches.

The Thule Force XT Sport # TH6356B has an overall length of 74-3/4 inches, which is basially the same as the Yakima. Thule does not give an overhang distance, in fact, they recommend mounting the cargo box as far to the rear as possible while avoiding your XM antenna and clearing your hatch opening. By having your cargo box towards the rear of the vehicle minimizes wind resistance.

The Force cargo box has a minimum cross bar spread of 23-1/2 inches.
