Can You Use The Hopkins 12 Volt Socket To Power A Refrigerator.

Question:

I want to plug in a refrigerator that draws 5.6 amps. Can this handle that load? Can I safely replace the 5 amp fuse with a 7.5?

Yes, the unit uses 14 gauge wire that can handle 15 amps.

The unit comes with a 20A fuse so you will need to swap it out for a lower fuse like a 7.5, it is the weakest link for a reason so it needs to be the bare minimum.
