Will Class III Hitch on 2022 Hyundai Palisade Have Capacity to Tow 21 Foot Pontoon Barge
Question:
Will this hitch be sufficient to tow my 21foot pontoon barge?
asked by: Joe W
Expert Reply:
As long as the trailer/barge has a weight that comes in under the 5000 lb towing capacity of the etrailer brand # e95ZR hitch (which is also the capacity of the vehicle) and has a tongue weight less than 750 lbs, the hitch would work well for you.
In addition to the hitch, you'll also need a trailer wiring harness like # CU94FR for a 4 pole or # C68JR for a 7-way. You'll also need a ball mount like # D-28 along with a # PC3 hitch pin and a trailer ball. For a trailer ball, use # 19260 for a 1-7/8 or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball.
