Will Thule Prologue 515 Roof Bike Rack Fit Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Roof Rack Elliptical Crossbars

Question:

Will the rhino 2500 rack work with a thule 515 bike tray? Based on the below text taken from the product description I wasnt sure. Thanks for your help. Elliptical bars are aerodynamic and feature built-in channels to accept slot-mounted and clamp-on accessories.

The Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Roof Rack consisting of parts # DA118B and # DK064 fits the 3-door version of the 2011 Volkswagen GTI with no factory roof hardware. If you have the 5-door GTI you will need to use a different clamp kit, part # DK207, in place of the # DK064.

The elliptical bars in this rack can accept Rhino-Rack slot-mount accessories and other clamp-on accessories that can fit elliptical bars.

The Thule Prologue 515 is now discontinued, but I checked its mounting scheme and it is very similar to the current Prologue 516. You can use the Thule Load Bar Adapter, part # THXADAPT9, to mount the Prologue 515 bike carrier to the Rhino-Rack elliptical cross bars. This kit allows the Prologue carrier to mount around the elliptical crossbars rather than in the crossbar channels.
