Parts Needed To Install Trailer Brake Controller, 4-Way/7-Way Connectors on 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
I have a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee with NO factory tow harness/hitch. I am interested in finding a vehicle harness to achieve a 7 pin connector AND 4 pin connector for a trailer. I see a plug and Play adapter for 4 pin, but I do not see anything available for a 7 pin, being plug and play. Any help would be appreciated.

To install a 7-way and 4-way on your 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee you will first need the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118727 which will plug in line of the tail lights. This harness will need to wire into the battery to get power and will cover the 4-way portion of the trailer tail lights.
A Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 will then connect to the 4-way and include the additional wiring needed to install a brake controller and charge line on the 7-way. You will have both a 4-way and 7-way connection on the back of your Cherokee with these kits. I have linked installation videos for both the 4-way and 7-way connections below to help you see what is involved.
A Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR can be added with a Universal Wiring Harness # RED69FR if your trailer has electric brakes. This brake controller has a very small control knob that mounts to your dash. The main unit mounts out of sight behind the dash so you do not have a large controller mounted in the drivers compartment.
