No Power To Tail Lights with CM TX Flat Bed On 2020 Ford F-350 Super Duty
Question:
Last Sunday I connected to a 2003 5th wheel camper to haul home.4 hrs When I first hooked up, I had all lights on truck and trailer. 2hrs into the trip, I lost my Rear, Left Turn signal on the truck but still had the signal on the front of truck and Camper. I have a CM TMX bed which has LEDs. After unhooking the camper, I found out that my Left side lights on the truck bed were inoperable. The only light that worked were the running lights. I traced my wiring harness to the point where the CM harness plugs into the 2020 Ford F-350 harness. there I found a Hopkins Electronic Taillight Converter Compatible with LED Taillights. I turned the 4-way Flashers on and tested the input and output sides of the Hopkins unit and found that I had a good 13-14volts on input for LandR turn signal. The output from the Hopkins unit on the Right Turn was 13volts, the output from the Left Turn was 3volts. I hope this is the problem with the system as its impossible to get any tech support from either FORD or CM! Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

It does indeed sound like the converter box has failed since you verified that you have good power going in but it gets reduced going out therefore all you should need to do to fix the issue is swap out the converter with the Hopkins Tail Light Converter Kit part # HM48895. The wires can be trimmed and modified as needed just be use heat shrink but connectors like part # DW05745-5 and part # DW05744-5 and secure the box as best as you can.
