Back Up Alarm Recommendation for a 2000 Fleetwood Tioga Class C RV on Ford Van Chassis
Question:
I have a 2000 24ft Class C Fleetwood Tioga motorhome that pulls a little trailer carrying my wheelchair. Its on a 1999 Ford E350 Super Duty Triton V10 chassey. Not sure if this bulb would work or what size it takes. If it would work where would be the best place to install one. The trailer or the rv? I live in Ontario Canada. The trailer I bought from Smart Trailers in Orlando Florida. They have a web page if you care to see what Im talking about.

The 1999 Ford E-350 uses a 3156 bulb for reverse lights but you will have to pull the bulb on your RV to determine if it is the same. It should be printed on the unit somewhere or could be in the literature for the RV. If it is a 3156 bulb then you would use # HM20101VA.
If it is not a 3156 or an 1156 (used with # HM20100VA that you referenced) there is an alternative solution. You could mount backup alert # BK97DB under the RV and wire it into a reverse light wire. This alert is going to be louder and more effective than the types that fit in place of a reverse light bulb.
