Parts Needed to Add Brakes to Dexter 6k Trailer Axle
Question:
What do I need to convert my Dexter idler axle to electric brakes? 8-213-5UC1-EZ My one axle has brakes but the other does not. The one that does have it the brakes are worn and not grabbing like they used to.

Since the idler hub you have now is the part # 8-213-5UC1-EZ the hub/drum you'd need to replace it is the part # 8-201-9UC3-EZ and the brake assemblies needed would be # 23-458-459 and you'd be set. If your other axle has bad brakes too this assembly set would work for them as well.
To wire up the brakes you'd want 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 which we sell by the foot.
