Modern Replacement for 6.00-14 Trailer Tire
Question:
I recently bought an old trailer and I need to replace the tires. The size on the wheels now is 6.00-14. Can you recommend what size I should be looking to replace them with?

Expert Reply:
The closest modern tire size to the old 6.00-14 tire would be the 205/75-14, like the # 274-000012 you'd looked at. This is a load range D tire, with a 2040 lb per tire/4080 lb per axle capacity. The tire is roughly 2 inches wider than your old tire, so assuming that the wheels you're using have a zero offset like most trailer tires, the inner-most sidewall will move 1 inch closer to the trailer frame.
