Is 12V Power of 7-Way Socket Connected Directly to Vehicle Battery

Question:

Does the 12 v0lt supplied to the rear 7 pin connector need to come from the battery? If so does it need a fuse link? The blue wire from the controller goes straight back to the connector? Thank you.

The 12V power wire at the 7-Way socket will be routed straight to the battery through a 40A circuit breaker and the blue wire from the brake controller will go straight to the 7-Way. If you don't have any of the wiring then you'll want to pick up our Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7, but if you're just needing the circuit breaker then use part # PK54540.
