What 4-Bike Bike Rack do You Recommend for My 2021 Grand Design Fifth-Wheel Trailer?
Question:
The camper does not have a bumper on the back, just a 2” receiver. This being said clearance shouldn’t be a problem. Also, I am looking for a rack where the bikes tires sit in the rack and not hang from the cross bar. I’ve had the hanging type and they seem to bounce much more than others

I have the answer! You are 100% correct when saying that the Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches # S64665 is rated for motorhomes and not fifth-wheel. The reason why is because there is much more force/torque exerted on the rear of a fifth-wheel than a motorhome. Unfortunately, the XTC4 does not work on a fifth-wheel trailer application. Also, even if the XTC4 could work, there is only a 3-1/2" distance between the center of the shank's pinhole to the closest part of the rack (when folded). With this small length, the rack will most likely interfere with the rear bumper.
However, we do have 4-bike options that are equipped to withstand the amount of force/torque on your 2021 Grand Design. For this route, I recommend the Swagman XP - 4 Bike Rack for 2" Trailer Hitches # S64940. The XP is designed for brute strength and includes a 35-pound per-bike weight capacity. Not only does the XP include a long shank that measures 12-1/2" inches from the center of the pinhole to the upright bar, it also comes with a locking knob to deter the theft of your bikes from the rack. For theft deterrence of the rack itself, I recommend the Locking Anti-Rattle, Threaded Hitch Pin for Swagman 2" Hitch Racks # S64027.
If you have women's bikes, children's bikes, or bikes with step-thru frames, I recommend using the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar # 64005 for each of those bike styles. With the adapter, you receive the straight, horizontal plane that is required to mount the bikes to the cradles of the XP.
