LaSalle Bristol Interior RV LED Light Was Flickering But Now Doesnt Work

Question:

In 2020, I had all the lights in my RV replaced with these lights done by a professional RV handyman, for a total of ~7 lights not in unit, but a guess. In our bathroom, from when it was replaced in 2020, the light has already completely begun flickering and now doesnt work. Did I get a faulty light, and should replace it with a new one? Or, do i have an electrical/wiring issue? Hoping its the former. RV is only a 2018. Thanks.

It could be a number of reasons why your LaSalle Bristol RV LED Dome Light # 344410PCDS010008RT, which is no longer offered from the manufacturer, started flickering and now does not work.

On average LED bulbs typically have a lifespan of 50,000 hours and there may be a chance that it is burnt out. Voltage drops also will cause flicker, so if you have multiple appliances running at once, it may cause your lights to flicker. Finally, I would check the wiring to the unit itself.

You can do this by prying off the lens from the base by taking a small flathead screwdriver to the tabs behind the lens, and then removing the 4 screws securing the unit to the roof. Ensure that your connections are secure and not loose, and that everything is wired correctly.

If you've verified that everything is correctly wired, I recommend replacing the entire light with a new LED light like the Gustafson RV LED Dome Light w/ Button # 277-000492.
