Recommended Roof Rack To Carry Roofnest Sparrow On A 2022 Subaru Outback Premium

Question:

I have a 2022 Subaru Outback Premium, with factory roof rails integrated crossbars . I want to buy a Roofnest rooftop tent style Sparrow, which requires ideally 36 inch distance btwn crossbars, and more space under crossbars to be able to fit hand under to tighten bolts of tent. Maybe Yakima has something landing pads, or towers, and crossbars that will fit on my factory roof rails?

Yes, I do have an option that may fit your 2022 Subaru Outback Premium. I did some research on the Roofnest Sparrow. Your crossbars need to be at least 30" apart. My roof rack recommendation is the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack - Aero Crossbars - Raised, Factory Side Rails - Aluminum - 58" Long, part # MPG216. This roof rack can have a bar spread of at least 30" and there is a good possibility you can get a 36" bar spread. This roof rack has a maximum weight limit of 150 lbs. Please keep in mind the maximum weight limit will include the weight of the roof rack. Due to this, you will be limited to carrying the Roofnest Sparrow and the Roofnest Sparrow Adventure.
