How To Use Kuat Bike Rack for 1-1/4" Hitches Inside 2" Receiver
Question:
Hello, I’m looking to and reduce my hitch. I need to reduce from 2” to 1 1/4” and maybe an 1”….i do not need to extend at all. I was hoping there’d be an adapter for that but can’t seem to locate. Using on a 2015 Tundra and a Kuat NV 1 1/4” rack. Thank you for your insight.

In order to use a 1-1/4" Kuat Bike Rack with a 2" hitch you will need the Kuat Bike Rack Shank Adapter part # D101. This adapter installs onto the shank of the bike rack and allows for it to be installed inside a larger opening. The only option to drop the connection is with an extension like the Kuat Hi-Lo Hitch Extender part # HL20B.
