How Does the 4-Way Connect on the Hopkins 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket

Question:

Hi can you tell me how Item # HM40975 plugs into the 4 way side? Does it just plug in the back with a standard vehicle side 4 way connector? In looking at the pictures i cant tell exactly how the 4 way side connects. Thanks!

The 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket # HM40975 only has the one connection point on the back of the socket. This is designed to plug into factory wiring. Since the 7-way wiring that plugs into this also has the same functions as a 4-way, those functions carry over to the 4-way side of the connector. So in other words the wiring harness that plugs into the opening on the back powers both the 4-way and 7-way side of the connector.
