The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 76020 you were looking at is confirmed to fit your 2017 Mazda CX-9 and we have plenty of stock (2/22/22). This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your CX-9 with included hardware. It does not require any drilling or welding. I have attached an installation video and a picture so you can see what the hitch will look like once installed.
If you are going to be towing with your Mazda then you'll also need the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # 118278. This will control your trailer's lighting functions. To attach the 4-flat to your hitch you will want to use the Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat item # 18144.
To round out your towing setup I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.
