Which Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Works Best When Used With 1-1/4 and 2 Receivers?

Question:

I have two cars, a sedan with 1.25inch hitch and a SUV with 2inch hitch. I am interested in the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 , but debating with shank size I should be getting... Should I get the 1.25inch for my sedan and paired with Kuat D101 1.25inch to 2inch adapter to be used on my SUV OR get the one with 2inch shank and use a regular 1.25inch to 2inch extension adapter like Maxxtow Item # MT70032 on my sedan ? Which one safer ? Can you please confirm that the D101 adapter will work on Sherpa 2.0 with no issue ? Will the anti rattle pin still work ? I am also seeing a bunch of review about the pin holes donot align. can you please confirm.

I recommend using the 1-1/4" Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # SH12G with the Kuat Bike Rack Shank Adapter # D101. This will ensure that you do not need to have an additional anti-rattle adapter. You will not have any fit issues with the Sherpa 2.0 bike rack and the shank adapter. There were some fit issues on some of the first gen NV racks but you will be okay with the Sherpa 2.0 and will still be able to use the anti-rattle built into the bike rack.

The 2" Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # SH22G used with the Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter # HTAD will require you to use an additional anti-rattle like the Roadmaster # RM-061-125. This will make it more difficult when connecting to your sedan with the 1.25" hitch. Do also remember that using the adapter will reduce your hitch capacity by 50%. So depending on your bikes and hitch rating this may put you over the capacity of your receiver.
