How To Find Correct Reese Goose Box for Trailer by Measuring Pin Box Width

looking to upgrade. want to know if i need the shim plates. My trailer measure 12 1/4inch between tabs

In order to find the correct Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter for your trailer you need to know you pin box pattern. This can be done by measuring (see link below) or by reaching out to the trailer frame manufacturer. In regards to width, there are two standards, 12" like what a Lippert 1621 uses and 12.5" like what a Lippert 1716 uses. If you have a Lippert 1621 then use part # RP85FR or if you have a Lippert 1716 then use the part # RP85FR with part # RP97FR.
I am not aware of any 12-1/4" wide pin box options.
