Does 2020 Ram 2500 Factory Hitch Need to be Removed to Install TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum

Question:

There seems to be some discrepancy between what is stated in an answer to a previous users question, what is pictured in the photos on this website, and what is described by other users of this hitch in online forums. So to confirm: for the 2020 Ram 2500, does the factory hitch need to be removed completely so that this hitch can be installed? It appears that this hitch comes compete with both receivers, unlike earlier versions where the new hitch with one receiver was bolted underneath the factory hitch receiver, to create two receivers. Even the language in the description seems to be copied and pasted from an earlier model description, since this hitch for the 2020 clearly shows two receivers. Please advise, thank you.

The TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum Trailer Hitch Receiver # TLD1112-30 does come with the dual receivers so you will have to remove the factory hitch from your 2020 Ram 2500 for this install. I reached out to my contact at TorkLift to confirm this and he said that the part # TLD1102-30 fits under the factory receiver so that might be where the confusion came in since it's close to being the same number.

The 1102-30 won't fit your Ram so for that double receiver I recommend the TLD1112-30 that we're talking about.
