Since you have the panoramic glass roof on your 2012 Fiat 500 we are going to need to go with an alternative solution for transporting cargo as there isn't a roof rack that fits with the glass roof.

For your application I recommend installing a trailer hitch and using that to add some cargo carrying room to your vehicle. You can use the Curt Trailer # C11347 if you have the Abarth but if you don't then use the Curt Hitch part # C11363 instead. The # C11347 has a hidden crosstube design so the only thing you'll see once it's installed is the hitch receiver. The # C11363 has a standard visible crosstube so you see a little more. I've attached installation videos for both hitches for you to check out.

Once you have a hitch installed, we can use a cargo carrier like the Curt # C18145 or a bike rack like Kuat Beta # B202-114 to help get some extra equipment to your destination. You will also need the stabilizer strap # 18050 that is required by Curt with any of these applications.
