How Should I Carry My Step-thru E-bikes On My Swagman Current Hitch Bike Rack
Question:
I have two Trek step-through Allant+ 7s e-bikes one small and one medium on order and need to update my older Swagman bike rack for e-bike capability. Looks like the Swagman Current is the rack for this purpose as it may be used on both a SUV and a Roadtek RV van. Can I get by with one bike frame adaptor bar placing one lower hook at the crotch of the smaller bike and the other on the bike frame adaptor bar of the larger bike? Would the correct bar be the UB01 or the 64005?

Helpful Expert Reply:
After taking a look at your Trek Allant+ 7 Lowstep, I recommend getting two bike frame adapter bars, one for each bike. I think you will be putting a lot of stress on the hook that will secure the small bike, since it will be so close to the bottom of the bike. My bike frame adapter recommendation is the Kuat Ubar Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's and Alternative Frame Bikes, part # UB01, because it is spring loaded.
You are correct. The Swagman Current Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount, part # S64678, is compatible with your SUV and Roadtrek RV.
I have included a product description link and video review links below.
