Can You Put a 12" Radial Car Tire on a Boat Trailer
Question:
I have a small boat and trailer. Currently have 600x12, load range B 2 ply tires rated at 845 lbs each. I want to put radial car tires on the trailer. Can tell me what the 12 inch car tires are rated for weight, what size I should look for and your thoughts. Thanks

I do have an option for you but you can't use passenger tires (P) on a trailer because they don't have the sidewall capacity needed for this which would lead to frequent blowouts. Instead, I recommend the Taskmaster 5.30R12 Radial Trailer Tire part # TT53012C which is a radial trailer tire rated for speeds up to 81 mph. It also has a 1,050 lb per tire weight capacity. It will work great on a boat trailer.
