Do Boat Trailer Keel Rollers Need to Support Full Weight of Boat

Question:

I have a 2013 Crawford Melonseed Skiff and a 14foot Haul Rite PWC trailer. The trailer has bunks installed and I want to also install keel rollers. Should the bunks or rollers support the weight of the boat? This small 14foot sailboat only weighs approximately 230 lbs. But I want to install the rollers correctly - especially if they should help support the weight of the skiff. Also, should I install both a keel roller at the bow as well as a wider keel roller at the stern? Thanks.

The bunks should be what's bearing the weight of the boat on the trailer and the rollers like the # CE32015G are designed to make enough contact that they guide the boat on the trailer but not fully support the boats weight. Think of them as supportive guides for the boat so that it sits properly. The # CE32015G is a great option for the front of the boat and then for at the rear a lower and flatter option like the part # CE10455G would be a better option.
