Sidewinder Replacement Pin Box For A 2021 Columbus 329DVC Fifth Wheel Trailer

Question:

I have a 2021 Columbus 329DVC and would like to replace pin box. I have attached pictures from current pin box. Could you confirm which Reese airborne with sidewinder I need.

Thank you for the chassis tag, based on the serial numbers provided your pin box has a 1621 bolt pattern so you will be able to use the Reese Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret # RP34FR.

The 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin w/ Sidewinder and Turret # RP61422 you were looking at would also work but with the GVWR of your 2021 Columbus 329DVC showing up around 14,500lbs I'd feel more comfortable going with the higher capacity # RP34FR.

Manufacturers recommend not exceeding 80-85% of your pin box's total capacity and 14,500lb would be at 90% of the # RP61422.

Both of these hitches come with a general use wedge kit to prevent the king pin of the pin box from rotating in the jaws of your 5th wheel hitch. If you want a custom fit wedge kit just let me know what hitch you have and I can find the correct fit for your application.
