Installation of the 50 amp Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger
Question:
I have a 400 AH Lithium battery bank in my 5th wheel. I want to use the 50 amp Redarc battery charger, where do I mount it? In the truck or in the camper?

The 50 amp Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger, # 331-BCDC1250D should be installed in the RV near the battery bank. You will then install a wire from the Redarc Battery Charger, # 331-BCDC1250D to the crank/start battery in your tow vehicle. I recommend you go with a large gauge wire to compensate for voltage drop. We actually have a winch install kit that will work for this purpose, the Bulldog Winch Rear Wiring Kit, # BDW20206.
You will also need the 40-Amp MIDI Fuse Kit for Redarc BCDC Battery Charger, # 331-FK40.
