Atwood Landing Gear Legs Are Slow To Retract And Extend
Question:
Hello, Im looking for a speed control for an Atwood 12V DC 200W RV landing gear motor. Im using the motor to raise and lower a bed in a camper van and would like to control the speed. Any suggestions??? I appreciate the help and advice,

If your landing gear has recently slowed down, there might be an issue regarding a weak battery, or a possible wiring issue that needs attention. You can check the batteries voltage with a multimeter # PT29ZR.
After you've confirmed if the battery is in good shape or not, move on to your wiring. Look for corroded or damaged wiring, checking the ground connections as well.
If all that checks out, your motor may be going bad and will require replacing. If you let me know what specific motor you have, I can see if we have a replacement for you.
Unfortunately, speed control for your landing gear is not something that is offered. The only thing that would compare is the Replacement Switch for Stromberg Carlson Electric Landing Gear # LG-145236, which is a switch that controls the extension and retraction of the legs for the left and right side.
