Recommended Suspension Enhancement For A 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 Pulling A Travel Trailer

Question:

I am looking for some rear suspension upgrades for my 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500. I pull a travel trailer and even with my weight distribution system I am getting a fair amount of sag in the rear. I do want to get this fixed, but I also don't tow all the time so I don't want to screw up my ride. What do you recommend? I saw the Timbren things, but they look to be more than what I need.

I do agree that the Timbren # TGMRCK15S set up will be more than you need and it will affect your onloaded ride pretty severely. So I don't recommend going that way for you. With that said, I recommend going with an air bag set up for your 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500.

The American made Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2609 can be inflated up to 100 psi, giving you up to 5,000 pounds of load leveling capacity and can then be deflated down to 5 psi when you are not towing. Now, I do have to mention that any kind of suspension enhancement is going to affect the ride of your truck, but this will do it pretty minimally and is the way I would go for my Silverado 1500 (though I have a 2016 model).

The only potential add on to this will be the Firestone Air Command I # F2158 compressor system. This isn't completely necessary, but having the ability to adjust the pressure on the fly is something I like, so it is something I always mention.
