Can A Weight Distribution System Be Used With A 2022 Kia Telluride
Question:
Ive read etrailers response whether a weight distribution hitch can be used on a 2020 kia telluride. As it is now the 2022 kia telluride ... has anything happened over 2 years that would allow etrailer to modify the answer that was given? Are you now aware that despite your recommendation to check the owners manual, kias 2022 manual remains totally silent on whether a wdh should or should not be used. How should kias silence on the question be viewed by owners? Is it reasonable to believe that since kia has rated the Telluride strong enough to pull 5000 pounds that it means that the unibodyconstruction should be able to take the stresses produced by a wdh?

Yes, you can use a weight distribution system on your 2022 Kia Telluride, with use of a hitch that is rated for a WDS like the etrailer Trailer Hitch # e45ZR.
This trailer hitch is rated for 5,000-lbs GTW without use of a WDS, and 6,000 GTW with a WDS; As well as a maximum tongue weight rating of 750-lbs with/without use of a WDS.
When it comes to choosing a WDS, you'll want to take your total tongue weight of your fully loaded, ready-to-go trailer, and add the weight of any cargo sitting behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. Once this figure is identified, you'll be able to select the appropriate WDS for your 2022 Kia Telluride. You should choose a WDS that has your newly identified TW in the middle of the spectrum, so you have room for error. So, if you have a TTW of 600-lbs, you'll want to go with something that has a TW range of 400-800-lbs.
