Troubleshooting Turn Signal Lights Up When Brakes Are Applied
Question:
Hey I have a problem, with the trailer lights. So all the light functions on the trailer work, but when I hit the breaks my amber turn signal lights up with them as well and overrides the turn function.. what could be the problem?

It sounds like using your brakes causes your turn signals to light up. I would start by checking the ground connection on your wiring harness. Something like what you are describing is often caused by a bad ground connection. Make sure it is secure on a clean, bare metal surface.
The other possible cause of your problem may be corrosion. Check the connector on the vehicle and trailer to make sure it is not damaged and no corrosion is present.
I have attached a helpful article on troubleshooting wiring for your reference.
