What Tire Chains do You Recommend for My 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK with 35/12.5-18 Tires?

Question:

I have a 2018 jeep JK wrangler with aftermarket Toyo AT tires 35 x 12.5R 18LT and looking for some tire chains to use in snow and ice. Need some guidance on diamond type, V Bar titan, options, etc. Can you help?

I can definitely help! For a great pair of tire chains for your 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK with 35/12.5-18 tires, I recommend the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains w/ Cams for Wide Base Tires # TC3831CAM. With these Titan Snow chains, they come with both V-bar studs and cams. The V-bar studs give you extra penetration within snow/ice itself and will provide you with an extra layer of traction on deep snow and ice. With the cams, it makes it easier to fit and tighten the chains on your vehicle. Since these chains are 7mm thick, it is strongly recommended that you measure the inside of your wheel wells to make sure you have adequate clearance to avoid damage to wheel well components (such as struts). I went ahead and attached a diagram that shows how to measure your wheel well clearance. These chains are designed to be used on-road only.

For even greater ease of installation as well as eliminating the headache of having to adjust the chains after each trip, I recommend the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster # TCMA2.

If you need a great set of off-road and on-road chains, I recommend the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains for Wide Base Tires - Ladder Pattern - V-Bar Links # TC3831. Even though these do not come with cam tighteners, you can still use the # TCMA2 for a great fit. Since these chains are also 7mm thick, it is also recommended to measure your wheel well clearance with these chains as well.

As with all tire chain applications, I recommend consulting with your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure that you are abiding by all of the manufacturer's guidelines.
