Should a Derale Transmission Cooler Bypass the Factory Cooler on a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee

i need to know the best ways to do this do i by bass it? What is the best thing to do

The transmission coolers that we carry like # D13504 are designed to be used as supplemental coolers to work in conjunction with the factory cooler. The flow starts from the transmission, then goes to the factory cooler, and from the factory cooler to the supplemental Derale cooler, and then back to the transmission. Take a look at the video I have linked as an example. I have also included a link to our FAQ article on transmission coolers for you.
Depending on what size motor you have you may also need an additional fitting so as to avoid having to cut and flare lines to install the cooler. The 4.7 liter would need # D13034. The 4.0 liter would use # D13028 or # HH41413.
