Comparing Trailer Valet RVR5 and RVR12 For Moving Trailers Around On Dirt Inside an Arena

Question:

I saw in your video that it was moving a trailer around while on a rocked drive way. I work for an electric utility company and we have one of your hand crank/drill dollies on our demo trailer right now. This dolly works well but it can wear out several guys very fast with some of the locations we have to get into. some of the locations we present at are county fairs and of course we get put in the areana which has dirt floors that are not solid packed like a road or driveway would be and a few with sandy soil. i will get the trailer weight and tongue weight but would one of your remote controlled valet dollies work in this kind of enviroment? we can not always use a pickup truck to move our trailer into a proper location for a presentation. i am trying to prevent a back injury or some sort of strained muscle from moving this trailer around by a hand crank device. one of those will quickly pay for this remote valets. my next question is i do not see anywhere in your video showing how difficult it would be to load up this valet in your truck to take with you. It will defeat my intentions if someone hurts themselves loading and unloading this unit due to weight or being bulky. I could also see this being used to move some of our trailers and equipment around in our substations in tight areas.

For your trailer and situation I recommend the Trailer Valet RVR12 Remote-Controlled Trailer Dolly # TV59FR. This dolly is rated for trailers with a tongue weight up to 1,200lbs and a trailer weight up to 12,000lbs. Your trailer has a maximum trailer weight of 7,000lbs and with the large tool box on the front it likely has a large tongue weight percentage. The rubber treads can handle asphalt, gravel, grass, and dirt surfaces with ease. Best of all this unit has 3 speed options to increase maneuverability and down time. The dolly can move at speeds up to 130 feet per minute allowing you to get in and out quickly when needed. The entire unit weighs only 86lbs as its has a corrosion resistant aluminum construction.

The Trailer Valet RVR5 Remote-Controlled Trailer Dolly # TVRVR5 that you saw is only capable of moving trailers up to 5,500lbs with up to 550lbs of tongue weight. The main draw back I see for you is this can only move at speed of 23 feet per minute when loaded which will surely slow things down. With only having a battery life of 30 minutes and requiring 2 hours of charge time I am not sure how well this may work if moving multiple trailers. This unit also has the same aluminum construction but only weighs 75lbs.
