What Brake Controller do You Recommend for My 2017 Dodge Durango?
Question:
Does 118617 Tow Ready T-1 T-Connector - 4 Wire - Modu-Lite Item # 118617 come with manual way to brake from the console area, or is that a separate purchase?

From the sounds of your question, it looks like you want to add a brake controller to your console of your 2017 Dodge Durango. If you are planning to install the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118617 to your vehicle, you will need an additional 7-way wiring harness in order to install the controller. For that harness, you need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat # ETBC7. This kit allows you to splice-into your installed wiring on your Durango in order to attach the brake controller. If you need help with what the installation involves, I went ahead and attached an install our team completed on a 2007 model Durango to provide you with perspective.
For the controller itself, I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR. The Tow-Pro Elite does not have a time-delay in activating the trailer's brakes like other models. Also, you will be able to use the manual override on this model by simply pressing a knob. If you have a factory towing package on your Durango, you also need the Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness # RED77FR.
