Roadmaster Falcon Tow Bar for 2015 Jeep Cherokee

Question:

i would like one of your roadmaster falcon all terrain non binding tow bars. Do you have anyone in the northern California area that installs these? Is there a business in Sacramento that you can recommend?

The Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar, # RM-522 is a great choice. This is one of the top selling tow bars for use with Jeeps. For your 2015 Jeep Cherokee I recommend using the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit, # RM-521447-5. These base plates fit all trim levels of the 2015 4WD - excluding Trailhawk. If you have the Trailhawk trim level, use the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit, # RM-521446-5.

If you follow the link to the product page and then scroll down below product videos section, you will see a hyperlink for "Locate installers near me". Follow this link and insert appropriate zip code for your location.

If you do not already have the other needed items to complete your flat tow set-up, you will need the RoadMaster Falcon 2 Towing Kit with Straight Wiring, # RM-9243-1. This provides everything you need to tow with RoadMaster's Falcon 2 All-Terrain system in one convenient kit. It includes the wiring kit, power cord, mounting bracket, safety cables, padlocks, tow bar cover, and a vinyl bag to store it all. This wiring kit contains 4 Hy-Power diodes to connect your Jeep's indicator lights with the RV.

You will also need a supplemental braking system, I suggest the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System, # RM-8700. This system activates brakes on towed vehicle when you engage the brakes in your RV. Install this with the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit, # RM-751471. Installing a stop light switch kit will ensure that the supplemental braking system monitor in the motorhome correctly reflects if the brake pedal in the Cherokee is being depressed.

Also, it is likely you will need a high-low adapter to keep your vehicle level with your tow vehicle's hitch. The adapter you need is going to depend on some measurements you'll need to take. I have added a link to a help article on high-low adapters which explains the measurements you'll need, as well as a link to our page with our selection of adapters. I've also attached links to video reviews and installs of the other parts I recommended for you to take a look at.

There are a few installation notes that you will want to be aware of with this vehicle. First, Jeep issued a tech bulletin (08-010-17) stating that their factory wiring kit 68321424AB is required when flat towing. This is only available at Dodge, Chrylser or Jeep dealers. Also, some models of the Jeep Cherokee may use Mortorq® fasteners. If your vehicle has these types of fasteners you will need a PFMTS2E bit to remove them, which can be ordered through a Snap-On dealer.
