Should I Get The 18K Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5TH Wheel Hitch or 21K For a 2019 Ford F-350?

I have a Montana High Country 382TH. It’s around 14000lb with 3225 hitch. Is the 18k plenty big enough for this trailer or should I go with the 21k Demco Autoslde?

While the 18K Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch # DM8550024 is large enough to pull your Montana High Country 382TH even when fully loaded(GVWR 17,000lbs), there is nothing wrong with getting the 21K Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch # DM8550038. Both of these will fit your 2019 Ford F-350 Super Duty with the short bed and factory prep/puck hitch system.

Since your F-350 is likely rated to be able to tow more than 21,000lbs by the 5th wheel you will have more options if you decide to trade in your Camper in the coming years. If you get the 18K hitch and decide in 2 years to trade it in for something different you may have to upgrade to the larger hitch then rather than getting it now.

It does appear that you may need the Demco Hijacker Autoslide Capture Plates for Trailair Rota-Flex Pin Boxes # DM6171 depending on the year of your Montana and the pin box it has.
