Can Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck Adapter be Used with Grand Design Solitude 310GK and Short Bed Truck

Question:

Hello. I am interested in either the Gen-Y Gooseneck 5th Wheel Hitch to pull my 5th wheel. Because I have a short bed truck, I currently pull with a PullRite Auto Slider and need your help in understanding if a Gen-Y Gooseneck 5th Wheel Hitch will work for me. More specifically, will l run into clearance issues to include side rails and turning radius. The following is my current configuration. - Pinbox: MorRyde Rubber Pin Box with #RPB77-006 Capture Plate - Hitch: PullRite Auto Slider - RV: 5th Wheel Grand Design Solitude 310GK - 35foot and 15k GVWR - Truck: 2021 Ford F350 Tremor SWB - Truck Bed Size: Short Bed 6.5’ bed rails are 21.5inch high, center of gooseneck ball to tailgate = 45.5 center of gooseneck ball to inside bed rail is 33, center of gooseneck ball to truck cab = 36 - Truck Bed Configuration: Factory installed 5th wheel/Gooseneck Puck System Any guidance you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thank you

I did some checking and the Grand Design Solitude 310GK has a nose shape that is "short bed friendly" for lack of a better term. I found several people with trucks very similar to your 2021 Ford F-350 with the 6-3/4 foot bed (and some shorter) who had manual slider hitches who never had to slide their slider hitch back.

So since we know that the Grand Design Solitude 310GK comes with a Lippert 1621 pin box the Reese Goose Box part # RP85FR that you referenced would fit and work great on your truck.

Or for a Gen-Y solution you'd want the part # 325-GH-8045 which I really like as it has a torsion style spring that requires no maintenance when compared to the Goose Box.
